Axibase announces integration with Google Maps for Enterprise

Real-Time Maps Simplify IT Infrastructure Monitoring

Gartner Data Center Conference, Las Vegas, NV, November 27, 2007 - Axibase Corporation today announced the integration of Google™ Maps with Axibase Fabrica, a leading visualization solution for enterprise service management.

Fabrica provides graphical views of mission-critical IT services and business applications by extending systems management tools with AJAX and SVG-based interfaces. With the integration announced today, IT departments can increase productivity by eliminating manual tasks when creating and updating distributed datacenter and network operations maps.

Fabrica leverages existing tools and alerts to automatically generate and maintain geographical mashups using programmatic integration with Google Maps for Enterprise. The logical container and device icons not only pinpoint the exact location of IT assets across business and field-service units but also display the severity of servers, routers, and switches with the ability to drill-down to the root-cause of an incident and asset configuration properties.

This Fabrica upgrade features a series of industry firsts. An Auto Pilot feature adds automated and continuous navigation to emerging problem areas enabling interactive viewing on large screen monitors in network operations and command and control centers. Location Filters provide a capability to filter the event console based on the visible map area, so IT operations and support teams can easily identify alerts affecting a particular service region.

Fabrica maps are readily integrated into Intranet portals and existing tools by specifying a URL to a particular location or field service unit.
